Course Description
The Medical Assistant Refresher Course is designed for individuals who have prior training or experience as medical assistants and wish to update their skills and professional knowledge. This seven-week program provides comprehensive review and reinforcement of both administrative and clinical procedures essential to current medical practice. Students will strengthen their understanding of patient care, infection control, phlebotomy, and medical office documentation through classroom instruction and hands-on activities. The course prepares graduates to confidently reenter the healthcare field or meet recertification requirements.

• Vital signs and infection control
• Phlebotomy and specimen handling
• Electrocardiography (EKG) review
• Medical office administration and documentation
• Professionalism and communication in healthcare

 First class starts Dec 2, 2025 

Class Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Class Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Program Length: 7 Weeks (including externship)

Payment Schedule:

Application Fee: $45.00

Down Payment: $520.00 due at registration

Second Payment: $300.00 due at Week 1

Final Payment: $300.00 due at Week 3

A convenience fee will be applied to payments made by card or Cash App. 

Tuition includes a $119 Certification Fee, BLS CPR, and a uniform.

Please note: Students are required to either rent or purchase their textbook for class.
