Medical Assistants are allied healthcare professionals who are responsible for various clinical and/or administrative duties.
Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
Taking medical histories, explaining treatment, procedures to patients, preparing patients for examinations, assisting the physician during examinations, preparing, and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant), phlebotomy, transmitting prescription refills as directed, and taking electrocardiograms.
Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):
Using computer applications, answering telephones, welcoming patients, updating and filing patient medical records, coding and filling out insurance forms, scheduling appointments,
arranging hospital admissions and laboratory services, and handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping.
A Convenience Fee will be assessed on each payment and will be placed at the end of the tuition balance. We accept cash, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, money orders, and checks. $119 Certification Fee is NOT included in tuition. WIOA assistance is available for the CMA course. Tuition includes uniform, textbook, BLS CPR, Interactive Review Study Guide & Tutor Sessions.
